I’m Roshini Pimmachcharige Ph.D (aka Dr.P).

About me

Currently I work at the intersection of science communication seriousness and comprehensibility. I focus on presenting chemistry concepts in an understandable language so that more students can meet their needs. I make the hard concept more imaginable or visual, thereby making it understandable. Take atomic orbital hybridization as an example. Students struggle to understand the basic points of hybridization, but it can be explained by using a smoothie or a cup of tea.

By the way, I have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from University of Kelaniya (Sri Lanka) , and a doctorate in Chemistry from Wayne State University (USA). I have previously served as an Assistant lecturer at University of Kelaniya, Graduate Teaching/Research assistant at Wayne State University and Professor of instruction at Glen Oaks Community College.
